I've noticed that it seems quite random, the listings for KickStarter per category. I was just wondering if there were any defining characteristics that put a project up there in the first few other than the Editor's Picks, which is an obvious. Does anyone know if they have their own automated algorithm like a search engine for their process?

I swear to god I think they legitimately go through each project and hand pick them. Which is amazing.

Honestly, after seeing some of the incredible kickstarters that go up, yours included, I almost feel intimidated with the quality of mine.

Oh, and thank you for the compliment. I have a zero budget for anything right now so it's going to take a lot of luck.

Okay so i read a bit online about getting up front on KickStarter and one main factor all happens within the first 24 hours. Within the first 24 hours you need to get at least 50 backers for your project, even if it's only $1.00

I missed that timeframe already but hopefully I will be able to get some backing down the road soon since I made my project a 60 day project. Working on creating a video as we speak that I will also be uploading to YouTube aside from KickStarter.
