A small town near where I grew up (Montgomery, West Virginia) is one of three high schools in the entire country without a place to play sports. Would Kickstarter be a good tool to raise funds? Again, the town is small. It's been around forever and will be there for a long time to come, but it's too small to raise THOSE kinds of funds. I know you can't use Kickstarter to purchase real estate, but they are looking to have the property donated. What they need are the funds to build the gymnasium, football field and basketball court.

Can we get some feedback on a project of this type and whether it would be a good fit for Kickstarter?
