Hi,
Please help us figure out what is wrong with this campaign.
We put A LOT of work into preparing the campaign
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/barobot/barobot-a-cocktail-mixing-robot. But now it seems that we are doing something terribly wrong and we don't know what.
Barobot has considerable media coverage (TechCrunch, LaughingSquid, ABC News, Hackaday, Business Insider, hundred or so smaller blogs, almost a thousand tweets etc.). We have 16000 film plays (3'24'', 28,7% completed) in 4 days ... and 31 backers, including 10 who bought robot which is the main pledge
Ok - we are not from States. We are from Poland and our campaign is in GBP (which is limiting for people used to spend USD). Especially as 7 out of 10 robots already sold are ordered from USA. We are not native speakers so we choose not speak to the camera during the movie and had Oxford accent lector instead. I guess that it takes its toll. And less-than-perfect English cripples our communication a bit as we can't write great sounding pitches.
And Barobot is pricey in absolute terms. It is not 30$ gadget that people would buy reflexively. But comparing to two major similar projects that were on KS before
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/partyrobotics/bartendro-a-cocktail-dispensing-robotand
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/monsieur/monsieur-the-artificially-intelligent-robotic-bart we are actually cheaper.
I'm not sure if we can still get to our funding goal. But this way or the other I would like to ask you what went wrong.
Can you please give your feedback?
