We launched our kickstarter for Mini Racing Adventures with big aspirations in mind. Unfortunately the community wasn't as receptive but that hasn't kept us from pursuing our dream.
We have now gone on to launch our FREE mobile game for iOS, Android, and it has even been STEAM Greenlit! Now that it's free to try we want to get the community feedback on what went wrong? Was it the game itself? Was the campaign not structured correctly? Was it the wrong type of game for the kickstarter format? We want to launch another in the future but want to make sure we do it right, for our 2nd product.
Thank you for posting this, I think it's useful to keep sight of the fact that even if your Kickstarter campaign isn't a roaring success, it doesn't have to be the end for your great idea. For what it's worth, I think your game looks great.
Even in failure you can learn something from the experience. You get to see how many people are interested in your idea. I'm sure your backers gave valuable feedback, if you decide to try again.
Cute little game, I would play it! So congrats. It's not all about the $$$. If you've created something and you're proud of it, that counts for a lot also.
