Has 40billion tweets worked for anyone

did 40billion tweet. Got 0 clicks from it after 4 days of post. Not doing that one again.

I have a quick question. Since the title says "DOs and DONTs for project promotion, this question of mine might be suitable in here.

Does a "Co-Founder" of a successful project has the rights to use the email addresses of the backers to promote his own project? Sending out invitation/promotional emails with links to his project in Kickstarter? Does Kickstarter allows this kind of approach for promotional purposes?

I'd say yes, since IndieGoGo allows you to contact creators and funders of other projects. I get hit up every day through their contact form from campaigners of other projects. It doesn't bother me, and is easy to delete if not interested.

IGG does allow that, but how about Kickstarter? If someone used a backer's private email address to send promotional email to a new project without the consent of the backer, is that allowed?

I seriously don't trust buying tweets at all. Twitter always gets me the least amount of clicks.
