    I tried out the boostyourcrowdfundingcampaign.com, the $25 service. They pretty much just share it on their own facebook page and twitter. It's retweeted by fake accounts created just for that purpose.

    You do get a backer out of it, so there's that. That's about the only thing of worth you actually get.

    Just checked the original thread that did recommend it:
    Within the hour they had us up on their social media outlets, which we estimated hit an extension of 30K+ individuals through their network.
    Seems they didn't look into it deeper as you did.

    Thanks for the heads up!

    Two guys launched their first ks campaign and were funded 400%+

    They reached nearly $100,000.00 through 1700 backers.

    What inspires most is their willingness to share, via live updates, the DOs and DONTs for crowdfunding PROMOTION

    Full thread is here: http://crowdfundingforum.com/showthread ... ve-Updates

    Some of the DOs they recommended:

      boostyourcrowdfundingcampaign.com/services/

      40billion.com -$10 they'll send out 1 tweet for you to their network (you can buy more as an option)

      thegadgetflow.com/submit/
      - We went for their 3rd package $280 and it was worth every penny.

      PRLOG.com
      - free news circulating service
    ~~~~
    One mention from DudeIWantThat.com - and we're getting picked up by National Geographic winter shows and all kinds of media attention with pledges pouring in.
    Targeted blogs and niche websites with a good following are definitely better than spread fire news aggregates. It takes a lot more time, sending samples, research, communicating, but in the end it pays off.
    buzzsumo.com
    I should try 40billion.com
    I tried to buy tweets on fiver.com ( the seller had 5 star feedback), I haven't had even a single visit from there.
    I feel really skeptical about this. Clearly these guys are good business men and had a very successful campaign. But they could also be making bank for endorsing particular companies.
    As on every public forum where you don't know the personality of the writer, you are to take advise with a grain of salt.
    However, I don't think folks would come out and promote something that won't work. Participants who try out their recommendations can come back and report.
    Thank you for the information about the 40billion tweets and the gadget flow I might try both of them!
