Hi everyone,
I've read this article from CrowdCrux (
what-blogs-should-you-reach-out-to-t2027.html) and many others about pitching to bloggers and other places, but I can't seem to find any that fit my market.
My kickstarter is having trouble getting off the ground (about 1.5 days in), so far 7 of my 8 pledges are from people through our facebook campaigning, and I'm trying really hard to find blogs to pitch my Kickstarter to.
Here's my Kickstarter page:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/54 ... king-gamesAs you can see, I am trying to raise money to print 3 drinking games. They're board games, and they're Sports themed.
The problem is that I can't find any blogs that relate to this kind of market.
Sports blogs are almost always about actual sports news, and usually quite professional so they wouldn't post about drinking games.
And I haven't found any blogs about drinking games. Only websites that simply list the same usual games (card games, beer pong, etc).
And then there's all the board game sites, which there are many of. But the issue here, which I experienced first hand, is that it is a very "nerdy" market, so they really don't like sports. I spoke to lots of people on these sites before my launch, and time after time, they would tell me how they literally hate sports lol.
Tonight I also tried to hit some really big twitter accounts about sports, that post some fun and humorous tweets, hopefully I can get a response from them. Until then, I will continue to search for anything that could help me gain some traction.
So if anyone has any ideas of where I can try reaching out to, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks for hearing me out
