Indiegogo: The Only Crowdfunding Platform with Apple Pay™

We’re so excited to announce our immediate integration of Apple Pay™, the new single-touch iPhone payment system. Indiegogo is the only online funding platform selected to offer the transformative mobile payment technology.

We’re always looking for ways to help people find and fund what matters to them—in the simplest way possible. As the only crowdfunding partner to join the Apple Pay launch, we’ve made supporting campaigns and bringing dreams to life even easier. The single-touch payment feature also comes with an additional built-in security layer through Apple’s ‎Touch ID™ system, which encrypts and remotely stores credit card data. We take pride in our unprecedented trust and safety measures, which protect contributors and campaign owners, alike.

Our Apple Pay integration is the latest of recent Indiegogo product improvements, including the introduction of our iPhone app, which allows contributors to discover and support campaigns on the go, and provides campaign owners with mobile management tools.

Apple Pay is currently available in the U.S. with the iPhone 6 ® and iPhone 6 Plus. Indiegogo is phasing the new payment option in today, with all U.S. campaigns integrating the new feature in the coming weeks. Campaigns will continue to accept credit cards, debit cards, and ACH payments drawn directly from contributors’ bank accounts.

That's smart! Interesting to see if this type of access moves the needle in terms of seeing more money flow through Indiegogo.

I think this is a big step for crowd funding history. I congratulate Indiegogo and as we work with them, as we have chosen them to run our campaigns there exclusively, I`m personally very happy about this. I hope the other platforms support Apple Pay, too. All and many options for the supporter, like Paypal, credit card (not only visa or master card but also american express and diners.. etc) would be all good and nice choices and easiness for the people, for us.
