Do not sign up to Reddit and start promoting your project. Start an account today and contribute to related communities. Learn about Reddiquette and how things work there first hand as doing the wrong thing can drive some pretty bad pr to your project.

Reddit is an amazing community, but it isn't a place to just spam and promote. If you're actually an active user on the Kickstarter and niche related subreddits, when you go to share your project alot more people will go and check it out.

Focus on contributing to your sub-reddit niche extensively. Allowed promotion is only 10% and any more will lead to ban. Make sure your username matches your campaign or blog or website.
