Hello and Happy Holidays to everyone on the forums. My name is Kevin Sargent and I have been working on my novel for about a year now. Death Herself in the simplest terms is an invasion of Greek Mythology in Medieval Europe. I love how my story developed and as I grew close to finishing the revision of my book I decided to post a Kickstarter campaign in hopes of acquiring funds for advertising expenses.

I don't know if people are willing to really support a project to cover the advertise and promotional expenses. However, from my experience with my project it seems like people only will donate depending on how they like the video. It seems like novel and book projects are hard because in people's minds whenever a new form of literature comes out they are so used to getting things for free via the internet world. Kind of like the difficulty nowadays to charge money upfront of $1 for someone to download an app. Do you ever get people thinking supporting your Kickstarter campaign is a donation? I think that makes things difficult as well.
