My day job is design and illustration

I put up scaffolding by day and dance in nightclubs by night.

Hi, I'm Suzanne and my day job is working with my husband in our small design and communications firm, Brightside Creative (cometothebrightside.com). My husband is the designer/photographer/videographer, and I do writing, editing, proofreading, project management and handle all the administrative aspects of the business (invoicing, taxes, etc.).

My current passion project is my new product -- the Playamigo. It's a wedge-shaped, portable ground chair with space to carry your stuff. You can carry it as a shoulder bag or as a backpack. I've been a plumber for over five years in real life, but I dream of more. Ever since I was a kid, I watched many action movies and imagined working in the military. This has always interested me, so I'm still looking for something that will give birth to my passion, and I will want to work in the same profession for the rest of my life. I'm already looking at various articles and ads about Defence Recruitment to make my childhood dream come true. I'm sure I'll soon be able to do it to the tune of 10. What do you think about it?

I'm working at a small video games studio. As we are a small team, I take care of many tasks ahah, the last months I'm focused on our latest project, Real Horse 3D. I am the Product Manager of this game, and I love it, since I am a big fan of horses and video games

Marketing Researcher

Hey everyone, my day job is CEO of a Music Tech company in the Bay Area, CA. My passion project is in the area of Augmented Reality. I have the business, the branding, the packaging, the Shopify site all done and I'm currently working with a buyers agent to get my prototypes made. I'm currently considering if I have the ability to build enough of a pre-live audience to make a Kickstarter campaign effort worth it to fund inventory and expand the client list. I'm a designer so I know I can create a slick looking KS landing page. What I don't know is list building, marketing etc.

My day job is creating films and digital video ads for a major outdoor retailer. That skillset helps me a TON since Kickstarter videos are one of the big keys to getting your project seen and visible. 12 years ago, my wife and I started a board game company called Platypus Games which, we had hoped, would turn into our day jobs--and we released two award winning board games, but sadly is was during the housing crisis and the economy kind of went sideways (and we got robbed---which is a story for another time---by one of our third party vendors) so that shuttered our doors.

But after COVID, we went back and looked at all of the other games we had in the pipeline and in different stages of development and we decided to resurrect our company under a new name with some new products. We'll be launching our new card/dice game on Kickstarter on 9/27 and will hope to release one more every year for the next 6 years. Fingers crossed!

Our 'day job' is running this company full time. We are busy keeping thing secure, and building new features and tools. But our passion is privacy and security. That is why we started this company. Thanks everyone!
