I'm now realizing how much having contacts and support from inner circle matters in the crowdfunding campaigns.. Plz share how you managed to do it. As whenever I write to Facebook contacts, it feels like spam no matter how much you tailor to them, I guess it's just part of the whole crowd funding thing. Keeping my fingers crossed for my project though
Good luck UsmanH! Sounds scary!
Honestly, I messaged Facebook contacts once and that was it. It's more about getting the word out into the public. You want to look up places that fit your theme or what you're doing. So for us, we looked up all different gaming review sites and forums. Then we'd go to specific sites like board games, tabletops, rpgs, pc gaming, etc. You have to go to ALL outlets.
And then Reddit has been our #1 place. Just be sure to read the rules on each sub-reddit before posting. It's all about being pro-active and keep at it!
We're down to our last 3 days, so it's more important than ever to stay on top of things AND preparing for the end. We're up to almost 500% funded now! So exciting!
