Hi guys, when I saw the KS page, I thought the video was great. The last 30 seconds made alot of sense, I think that should be pursued rather than creating a demo song for someone...

It sort of doesn't make sense, someone gives you $200 to create a song, they (or you write the lyrics) and then create it? What sort of styles could the person have - say Kayne West meets Country? What if they don't like the song in the end, will you re-edit it over and over? Might be time consuming.

Also, you don't have the equipment ready or the website setup? Any fan or memberbase who are interested in this project so far? Any contacts or musicians in the music industry?

The idea I like is that amateur musicians can upload their content to the site. You could make it free, but charge them if they want to make commission on plays or further promotion on the site... I think this would work out.

In terms of the people you have, I like the idea you could offer them advice too whether it's in the form of article or forum posts like this site here (which makes money from adsense/ads).

I think your business plan needs to change, the most important thing is the website but was only touched upon in the video. It's quite complex what you're trying to do.

Finally, on places like Fiverr people can make a song for you for $5 so you're competiting against a very tough site already.

You know that UniqueSong.com is owned by BuyDomains. You're looking at paying thousands just for this domain name, also since you've mentioned it this post you've probably put yourself at a disadvantage and put the price up!

Hi! First, we want to thank you for your answer and suggestions.

About songs, we´ll have a musical library - tracks of different genres. You˙ll be able to listen every track (lenght of 30-60 seconds, with vocal and some random lyrics ´´ for example´´, so you could have a picture of a complete song) and if you like this song you contact us (our team is made of musicians, managers, producers, web designers) suggest what you want and send your lyrics or explain what kind of lyrics you want from us.

Than you choose male or female vocal, and we compose those lyrics and vocal on chosen song after which you get preliminary version of your song. That means you can listen your song before final mastering and make some suggestions.

Currently, we use an amateur music and design studio, but we want to get that on higher level. On this project will work about 20 musicians. Those musicians are musically educated and professional in their job. We are not in contact with any music industry, because if we are , there would be no project like Uniquesong. So everything we need is more professional equipment so we could easily record songs (on high level, you will get example and that´s the reason why its not 5$ like on Fiverr) and communicate with our clients.

About the web site, we have an idea and web designer but we need certain funds for other costs (programmers, domain, etc.)

Making money of commercials and ads on site is not innovative. We think our idea is original and deserves a place on Kickstarter. And if we make our project real we will develop a platform (like 99design) where musicians could cooperate.

There are different kinds of domains that could be related with our project. It doesn´t be necessary
Uniquesong.com. When we figured out name of our project we were just happy that Uniquesong.com is available so we mentioned it.

Ok sure. But $200 / $55k means there is a flaw in your campaign, apologies for being so direct but I want to help out.

I think Fiverr is a serious competitor. You've listed many cogs in your wheel so speak, whilst on Fiverr there's just one.

The question is why would anyone want a song created for them from scratch? It doesn't make sense. Bdays and celebrations are great, but would anyone care (or know) if it's high quality? Plus for this bday/celebration/special event they'd want a quick turnaround.

If you're KS campaign, username and logo is Uniquesong, but you won't use it because it's now taken...what's the point in this also?

I like the idea you had of targetting amateur musicians, stick with this area I'm sure it will work out. The site would be sustainable for paying ads. You can charge membership fee's later on...but "amateur musicians" + "money" don't always go together.

I already listed the flaws:
- Competitor is more famous and offers the service for $5.
- Your domain name is taken
- Your setup involves too many people
- You haven't got a site, proper equipment...
- Your current backers are only 4 ;(

You need to restart this campaign I think...

We think that you misunderstood our idea and some things you didn't catch completely.

We believe that after few months of preparation and dedication to this project we covered all aspects of our idea and took to consideration all possible things to make this project understandable, and creative to be part of Kickstarter funding. Based on that we are not able to restart our campaign and truly believe that we are on right track to make it happened.
