    Few things:

Your video is pretty long for 8:00 and for only showing you talking on the couch...I would shorten it a bit and intersplice segments showing the actual gameplay, design documents, concept art, shots of you or teammates working on it...that kind of thing...keep people visually engaged while you discuss things.

$2,500 to me is a small amount of money to include in the same sentence as "video game". I eventually saw that this is mostly for overhead-type things, but I would make it a little more clear that the game itself is pretty much done and ready to ship. And if it isn't ready to ship, $2,500 is an unrealistically low amount of money to me when you're talking about paying for game programmers and artists. As a game programmer and potential backer, I would prefer that you were actually asking for more.

Mention what platforms you intend to release on and how you plan to monetize. Other game developers (who you should probably go after) are also always interested in what languages and tools you used to create the game...doesn't hurt to mention this, especially if you rolled a lot of your own stuff.

Maybe provide a prototype if possible.

Hope that helps and doesn't come off as too harsh!

Hey Zach...I would choose a different screenname next time: http://darkmuse7.deviantart.com/

That said, the passion and effort that have gone into this project are obvious, so I've backed you for $5.00 as "Coolbreeze". I hope both my criticisms and my backing help get your project off the ground!

And you're right that I didn't look at everything on the page and follow all the links, but I spent more time than your average visitor. There is a ton of information, but you have a few seconds to engage most people before they move on. Overall my comments are aimed at "bubbling" the most important information to the forefront...I didn't intend to assert that the information doesn't exist in the first place.

For example, with my campaign, 5% of people who view the campaign page make it to my external links where there's a ton more information...it sucks...just a harsh reality of the Internet...people are impatient and click-happy.

    Good luck man!

My previous comments have been deleted, and I wanted to apologize for how I responded. It was the end of a very long day, and it has been frustrating for all of us on the team how many people are claiming information is not available which is. Any comments are of course welcome, and the most helpful feedback we can get is the negative feedback. (So we know what to change). I also took your advice and changed the video to a much shorter one.
    Again, my apologies.
