Have you ever watched the plane cross the sky, and wondered "how did they do it?" Now you can explore the history of transportation with a mobile game that's loosely based on it. You start with just a horse, thrown into 4500 BC, and then progress to unlock more diverse means of transportation and develop your own network of routes through the use of an interactive map. The missions are completed by you traveling the roads in order to transport different materials or messages. The game also features an infinite mode, a kind of an "infinite runner" with sideway scrolling paths, where you're able to compete with your friends for the best score (full Facebook and Google Play game services integration)
We are using drawn style graphics for the project. Most images, including the map have been hand painted and we're also using a bit of 3D modelling. The music in the trailer has been composed especially for the trailer. We are very passionate about what we're doing, we just don't have the funds to finish it. The game is going to be available for Android at first, with other platforms (including but not limited to iOS) being a possibility as well.
Please help us drive the momentum by sharing and pledging. We have nice additional rewards prepared as well. (there is even a gossip about an additional platform down the road

Short youtube promo:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sg0EaXpTTH0This is the only 3D model used in the game so far. As the game is focused on the drawn style, we decided to only use models where absolutely necessary, because of the overly complex animations.
Time Traveler is a missions-based game, with the main goal being to travel around the world in order to help the main protagonist Roby travel back to the future. Yes, Roby is stuck in the past after accidentally using an ancient artifact on an archeological digsite. The game has a compelling story with multiple twists of fate and fortune for you to explore. YOU get to be involved in the making of the first wheel, the first chariot, you are even set to be the very first horse rider. You're also going to be engaged in building the Great Wall of China, while you will have to help denounce the idea of Earth being just a flat plane (or will you?).
The missions are mostly based around transportation, where you need to transport an item from place A to place B. An interactive hand-drawn map helps you set the right path, while it is your job to actually travel the path. The core of Time Traveler is a sideway-scrolling road with obstacles that you need to avoid. These path blocks take less than five minutes on average to finish, so the game can be easily digested in small portions and is therefore suitable for the casual gamers as well.
You will be doing your missions using your trusty vehicles, the first of which is actually not a vehicle. It's a horse! Our horse is animated using multiple different hand-drawn pictures, as we are very passionate about the drawn style for this project.
There is a road upgrading system implemented in the game and some road types have already been designed. Thus far we have a variety of road designs for different levels of road upgrades. These are some examples:
By progressing the story you also unlock special abilities that help you travel the road more easily, while upgrading the paths will cut down your travel time.
Furthermore, the game features an infinite mode, where you are able to compete with your friends for the top leaderboard position.
Time Traveler is being developed by three indie developers from Spain and Slovenia and is currently being funded through a Kickstarter campaign. As we are a startup in a true sense of the word, we do not actually have any budget, as we are just really getting into the mobile games production. The game is going to be available for Android at first, with other platforms (including but not limited to iOS) planned for the future.
The idea for the game was born back in July 2014 an we have been making slow but constant progress ever since. The main obstacle for us is really the funding, as we need to perform other jobs as well, in order to actually support our lives. In the end we are just three passionate indie developers, that want to make it happen for us.
Therefore we will greatly appreciate you backing, sharing and spreading the word about our project. Also do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
Follow us on social media, we will give out different exclusive rewards on each platform once the game is live!

(Roby will also be thankful, since in 4500 BC he feels very lonely and disconnected from the world (get the joke?)
THANKS!
