Hi,

My name is Charles, and while I am a regular to this forum (and intend to remain one going forward), I decided, today, to try and come up with another way to help people who create Kickstarter projects. I didn't really know where to create a thread for this, so Sal Briggman can move it, whither soever he will, as he sees fit.

I have started a new blog site, one with virtually no content on it, at the moment, since it is brand new. So, it will probably prove to be of more value to future Kickstarter creators than to current ones, but everything has to start somewhere, I reckon.

A lot of Kickstarter creators seem to be encountering a wave of solicitations, right after they launch their projects on Kickstarter. On the one hand, that's free enterprise in action. On the other hand, many creators simply don't have funds or budgets, as is, to promote their projects with.

That's why I decided to launch Squatch Kick.

Squatch comes from Sasquatch, of course, and Sasquatch is another word for Bigfoot. You want a big kick to your Kickstarter? Then, who better to give you that kick than someone with a big foot? The Kick is intended to be a boost to Kickstarter project creators.

It's all a play on words, of course, and I have always found Sasquatch to be interesting subject matter. Sasquatch is apparently hard to find, but if you look hard enough and long enough, then you might just be able to stumble across our site dedicated to helping Kickstarter creators (particularly newbie creators). Plus, visiting the Squatch Kick site is free.

One of the primary ways that Squatch Kick intends to help project creators is by showcasing their projects. From my experience-to-date in encountering and interacting with project creators, one thing that creators need is people talking about their projects. So, I will be selecting Kickstarter projects to talk about, and I will write a little bit about what I like about those projects. If your project just so happens to be one of those projects, then you will have something about YOUR project to share with the world, to show others that your project is getting some mention in the Cyberstream.

As time passes, I'll try to create and post some lists of my own, as I continue with and expand upon my analysis of crowd funding and various mechanisms associated with such. Too many crowd funding projects get lost in the crowd, and I want to try and help individual projects to stand out a bit more than they otherwise would on their own.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and while I'm not trying to build the next Rome, it will take a little time to start leaving a few tracks.

If you get a chance, stop by the site, but more importantly, check back again, later. There just might be fresh tracks to find, if you do. After all, some projects might just end up getting spotlighted more than once. You never really can tell, when it comes to Sasquatch or to Squatch Kick!

The future of your Kickstarter project depends on YOU. So, grab your tongue and grab your pen, and one way or another, find something to say about the thing that you want everyone else talking about.

If your Kickstarter isn't important enough for you to talk about it, then how can you expect others to talk about it

Awesome tip and well-said. You can't expect the world to beat a path to your door. You have to go out and sell. I tend to find that if you believe your creation benefits someone else's life, it's easier to do this.
