Best way to get on Reddit without worrying about spam rules and what not is to ask a friend who uses Reddit allot( not just browsing but someone who comments allot too) to post a thread like " my friend has been working really hard on this great new product" or whatever.
Do not post a link to your kickstarter page under any subreddit except the kick stater one. To post on other subbredits link to a review on a blog of your product.
If you don't know a Reddit user contact one just as you would any other blogger. Choose a person who often gives highly rated original content in the subreddit you wish to post in.
I had never even considered Reddit as a potential resource, but I had a friend post the teaser trailer for my film there on a local page, and she got flooded with requests for casting and people willing to help, and I like that most of what I've seen on there is people willing to help other people, so I guess that just makes sense to try utilizing it.
I felt the same to the first two weeks getting to know the site. My Team and I launch a free sample campaign and got blown out with all the respond .Good Site ,

Looking through the responses and just wanted say thanks for all the suggestions. I too am a little (okay a lot) overwhelmed by Reddit but am looking for ways to expand my projects reach and my social media reach in general. Very helpful!
I would love to share my experience of redditing. First of all I started with commenting to increase my karma. Then I've made my first testing post. It gave me 240 views in one day. Amazing results, isn't it? Couple days after that I've posted link to my site. And it gave me 50 unique visitors and 3 submissions. So I think reddit is must!
