[NEW] READ THEM AND EAT BOOKS - INTERACTIVE CHILDREN'S BOOKS

    by Kendra » Fri Feb 05, 2016 11:19 pm

Upon seeing my own son, Lucas, and his friends struggle with eating certain foods (vegetables!), I created Read Them and Eat Books.

    Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/18 ... -eat-books

These functional, interactive children's books promote creativity, help picky food eaters see food in a new way, and entertain children.

Read Them and Eat Books makes the child (two years old and up) its primary illustrator. Children are encouraged to use food (a suggested ingredient list is provided) to create and act out a story within the designed space. By the end
of the story your children will have consumed an entire meal, as well as engaged all five of their senses through this activity.

The books are printed on nontoxic, washable, and water-resistant laminate, which means they can be used over and over. They are also durable and light-weight, allowing for easy transport to a restaurant.

Hi its an interesting concept and you've raised alot.

I've gone through the same thing with a fussy eater baby and found I had to shovel food down his my son's mouth whilst he was watching tv to distract him, I guess most of the time he didn't know what he was eating.

My feeling is "how clean are the books" I wouldn't want to spend him wiping them and reusing them. My thinking is that if you do another KS you could integrate a bowl or square shape paper plates. I think the "picky eater" stage doesn't last that long and a set of story plates may be an idea for you.

Good luck with it and feel free to keep in touch.
