New (first) kickstarter campaign...looking for advice, pleas

    by amcarless » Tue Oct 14, 2014 2:18 pm

    Hi,
This is my first kickstarter campaign and I was wondering if I could get some advice. A) Is the video too screwy; B) would the site information about my book compel one to invest, and C) any suggestions of reputable firms who've successfully assisted anyone on this forum? (I feel like I'm about to exhaust my connections and need assistance.

    Thanks in advance,
    Andrew

    Hey!

The only thing that confused me is that in the Risk and challenges section you say " My goal" but in the section about that you say "Andrew's Goal" but the kick starter is by you, I think it's a little weird to switch between referring to yourself in the 3rd and 1st person. I think KickStarter is Personal and I'd go with "My" the whole time ( I'm assuming you wrote the Kick Starter since you're a talented writer )

I didn't really get anything from your kick starter about who you are as a writer. I think forming the personal connection quickly is what makes people want to donate.

Those are my 2 cents. I donated a buck, good luck!

    Hi Bryce,

Thank you for the input, it's great appreciated! Seriously.

I actually had some help getting this set up, which explains the inconsistency. I'll make the changes you recommended.

Thanks so much for the backing--you're assistance is warmly welcomed--and if funded, I'll send you a PDF copy of the book.

    Best to you,
    Andrew
