Yes this article is helpful. I have a blog myself but I do not always blog all the time. When I was more consistent with posting articles weekly, it was helping me on search engines. So blogging is great but it also increase your visibility online on top of all the good things mentioned in your article.

thanks for sharing your experience, I loved #3. People these days don't think what they write/upload online. Your case wasn't that bad, I have known instances when even one line has smashed a persons career/reputation. So think twice before you click submit.
