Larceny: our first game and Kickstarter campaign!

    by WaningGibbousGames » Tue Sep 24, 2013 9:45 pm

Waning Gibbous Games has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a heist-themed party game that offers a unique twist on the traditional party game formula. Larceny is our first game, as well as our first Kickstarter project.

Larceny is a fast party game where one player is the Chief each round and decides which heist plan is the best. Larceny's twist on the formula comes from the fact that unlike similar games (such as Apples to Apples or Cards Against Humanity), there's more than just word association involved. The heist theme adds a layer of problem-solving and strategy that gives Larceny a distinct flavor all its own. We’ve also packed several alternate gameplay modes into the box, so there’s something for everyone. A card game that works best with 3 or more players, a round of Larceny can be played in minutes, or it can fill out an entire game night with all the alternate modes of play. Larceny is a family-friendly game for kids and adults aged 12 and up. You can find more details as well as gameplay videos on our Kickstarter campaign page here: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1999572498/larceny.

We've had a blast with this first campaign! It's stressful as heck but we've learned a lot, from PR to web design, offset printing to how much a UPC code costs. :)

For fun, what's the weirdest thing you learned in the process of preparing for and launching your campaign?
