I have one day left in my campaign as of today and am at %103.
http://kck.st/1lVl6Oo I somehow guessed what a proper timeline for my scope of project would be . I used Kicktraq to research what other similar campaigns did for project duration. External blog support was key, Without them I would not have even been close. Only 1/4 of the pledges came from Kickstarter organically. Posting the project on appropriate Reddit threads was also a big source of backers. That is a very active community. I would post there if your campaign has a related thread.
Some learnings-I should have offered more rewards of multiples. I tried to keep the reward levels too simple.
-There is spike at the end of the project due to the 48 hour email.
-The video was difficult to do and I should have spent more time/money on it.
-Don't get discouraged In the middle when there is slump. Prepare for that.
- Create incentives for people to get in early.
- Save something extra for the end.
