Idea for a website- Craigslist for Kickstarter - Thoughts?

    by sbriggman » Sun Jul 07, 2013 5:36 pm

    Hey Guys,

In addition to CrowdCrux, CrowdfundingPr.org, and KickstarterForum.org, I am thinking of creating a classifieds website where people who are running a Kickstarter campaign can create free listings (example: "need a video editor", "need a copywriter") and people can respond to these gigs.

In addition, people can do skill-shares, so if you are talented at writing but suck at video editing, you can find someone who is good at video editing but sucks at writing and you can help each other out.

Any thoughts? Would you use it?

    Sal

    Hi,
I think this is an excellent idea. The only other source for finding people quickly on these things would be to me Elance. I've used them for various projects and have to really search their site to get what I want. If you could pull this off, I think you would have a winner! This is something I would definitely use.

I think that would be a really great idea! It seems like I see more and more ads for people who have Kickstarter experience on Craigslist nowadays. But if there was a place that was strictly Kickstarter or Crowd funding in general that would be safer and more reliable. It could also give people an idea if they don't really know where to start with a campaign. I would use it, and I know some people I would recommend to use it.

Thanks for the awesome feedback Lumi and UglyMariaFilms!

I launched a simple version today (just getting some posts on this week/weekend). Hoping to announce it sometime late next week on the blog and see if people find it to be useful. http://www.crowdfundingclassifieds.com
