As someone who's in the process of promoting their own artwork and building a following, having a fanbase to target is super important. I can't comment on other niches, but people do like that personal involvement when it comes to the artistic process. Thank you for this.

That's mainly what I do, in the communities where I'm actually allowed to link my campaign since they understandably don't want that liability. Since you said "app", there is one audience I haven't tried: Amino.
