I'm helping my fiance with his campaign and it feels like a full time job. We are trying to get exposure and build a community that will feel comfortable to back out project but it's tough. A lot of hours have been spend targeting twitter and parent specific forums (we are trying to launch a sports soft toy range aimed at introducing kids to sport at an earlier age whilst also encouraging the development of important skills) but this often means hours worth of tweeting for little reward. The way i see it, the more we put in, the better chance we have of success. My advice, do whatever you can, there's so much out there, i don't think you can ever reach everyone - even if you gave yourself a year.
Best of luck with your project.
