I heard about it through Kickstarter it's great to find this community!

A good friend had run a successful campaign. Friends and family rallied together (myself included) and it really made her dream come true. It was a fantastic experience!

A friend of mine suddenly had a Kickstarter campaign appear on FB, for a documentary he wanted to make. I had never heard of it prior to that. He was successful!

I had seen references to crowdfunding online but knew little about it until a couple writer friends ran campaigns. Then Instafreebie contacted me about a course on crowdfunding they were running this spring and I signed up. I'm in the middle of a campaign now and have to say, I've learned alot about marketing and engaging with an audience from this experience. I also learned how to make a short video and post it online - something I never thought I'd do.

I first heard about KichstarterS from a design friend. He designs board games

Being an avid gamer, there have been a few titles I love that I discovered have come to life through Kickstarter!
