One time I have read article about lovely finnish metal band wintersun crowdsourced more than half a mil to build a recording studio for their new albumm because apparently none, NONE of the existing studios in the world were capable of capturing their grand vision. oh and they're still going to sell the album via their record label as normal. the 500k was just for, uhh, recording purposes.

My first heard about Kickstarter is because of one product called LifeStraw get shared by a popular fan page a few years back. It is still one of the most meaningful product from Kickstarter, even until today. Back then, It says crowdfunding, it was my first time know about that terms, so I have done some research and quickly got hooked onto the community.

Fast forward to today, I am now having my own website focuses on promoting Kickstarter product. I have gone through lots and lots of Kickstarter and Indiegogo product more than I can count. The reason I started GismoReview is because of tiring to see all that marketing jargons, unrealistic scams projects, which end up people are wasting money on it. Therefore, I've decided to make a site that uncovers the cons/weaknesses (pros will always be mentioned) with my background knowledge that helps people make up their purchase decision.
