Hi , From the Campusgrids Team

    by Campusgrids » Mon Feb 10, 2014 10:22 pm

    Hello,

We are four students from Ottawa, Canada and have been life-long friends. One day we got together to start an initiative and then came up with Campusgrids.

To this day, we have been working hard at it and we developed a mobile application (first version haha) and now we would like to get into crowdfunding to help us improve the application.

We would love any help we can get on improving our social media and crowdfunding campaign , any questions you guys have for us post them here :)

    Tedy
    Co-founder of Campusgrids

    Thanks,
    The Campusgrids Team.

Campusgrids helps bridge the gap between students and the events and clubs on campus. It is an easy way for students to find clubs and events they're actually interested in.

We're on both iPhone and Android and yes it's free :)
    Thanks,
    The Campusgrids Team.

Cool! When I was in college, we would mainly find out events from email lists, once per semester tabling (where all the clubs come out and you can sign up for their email lists), and facebook events.

What kind of reception are you getting from your user base?

Sorry what do you mean by reception?
Our user base tends to be students that are interested in club activities and want to get engaged on campus.

Ya it's still like that, once per semester all the clubs come out and get email sign ups. But is once a semester really enough for students to learn about all the clubs their school has to offer?

Do people like the app? Do they use it? If so, do you know how often do they use it?

How are you going about acquiring users and your data?

Ya we've been getting good reviews and feedback/feature requests so we're working on those.
Since September, over 135 events have been created on Campusgrids so I would say it's being used considering we are only in 2 major schools right now.

Right now we acquire users through word of mouth mainly. No social integration yet :(
    Thanks,
    The Campusgrids Team.
