New to Kickstarterforum - found my way over here from the CrowdCrux site. The information there has been very helpful and now I am looking to learn from other Kickstarters out there. Looking forward to reading and helping where I can with feedback. Of course anyone with feedback for my project as well will be greatly appreciated :)

Insert project plug here...My project is 59 Veterans. 59 U.S. Veterans + 59 National Parks = A groundbreaking project that helps returning servicemen & women start exciting new careers and creates a stunning, 3D high-definition video record of America’s greatest natural treasures. We are looking to hire approximately 215 people for a variety of positions. So our project seems to have some extra work associated with it to get the word out to get funded and to find applicants. Learning something new every step of the way!

    From Sweden. Help needed

    by jimi » Tue Nov 11, 2014 5:26 pm

I'm writing to all of you by reason to help me out in a difficult situation. Sweden has only been able to launch projects at Kickstarter since only one month. The majority don't even know what Kickstarter is. So it's really really hard to reach out to people.. My friends on Facebook are not used to Kickstarter's concept, some of them actually compare it to begging (wich is tabu in Sweden).

So I'm doing a long shot now and asking you to share it on your Facebook? Or give me useful tips!

I hope you like it. Best wishes / Jimi Josefsson Tadi

May include that information in the activation e-mail or the like. Somewhere where it can't be missed when creating an account.

    Hello Everyone,

Like most folks I came across this forum after checking out Crowd Crux. I have already launched my project, I didn't want to wait any longer and have to compete with the holidays.

I researched everything I could and although my network isn't delivering the type of support I expected, I don't plan on cancelling the campaign. So I'm definitely hoping to find support among other creators.

As far as my campaign itself, I've created a magazine that is targeted to the entrepreneurial set. The fist issue contains interviews that I've done with four different entrepreneurs regarding how and why they got started in their chosen ventures. The idea is present more than another magazine that gives you a bunch of "how to" articles, I will be presenting stories that are inspirational as well as informative.

I already have the majority of the second issue planned and I'll begin interviewing people for that issue in January. From what I can tell, publishing campaigns can be tricky when it comes to Kickstarter and without a highly active network, you simply don't get enough visibility to make it front of all the readers. So I am open to ideas and suggestions to improve traffic, presentation, etc. I'm currently at t-minus 26 days with a $3500 goal.

    Thanks,

    Dean

My name is Stacey Jay Kelly and I have recently designed a deck of Illustrated Fresh Water Fishing Playing cards.
