I am wishing I did the same thing with my first and current campaign, set a lower goal.

We set our goal at $60K and we have raised 85% in a week, which I think is pretty great, but Kickstarter does not think so or hasn't noticed. lol.

If we set our goal much lower it definitely would have helped boost us. The problem is we thought setting a real goal for manufacturing was what others did, so we can actually deliver as promised. But it seems most groups are now setting an extremely low goal so they can claim funded in 1 day, but the truth is that is not enough for them to deliver what they promise. Interesting marketing tactic but risky.

I guess these are the things you learn when running your first Kickstarter. No matter how much research you do before your first one, you are bound to find something and say, damn I wish I would have done this differently.
