    Etsy and Kickstarter

    by sbriggman » Fri Mar 21, 2014 7:15 pm

I've found that a lot of products appearing on Kickstarter overlap with the types of products appearing on Etsy. Has anyone else noticed that?

I feel like a lot of the skills new Etsy sellers must acquire to spread awareness for their products is likely transferrable to marketing a Kickstarter campaign.

That makes a lot of sense. I think it's great that the surface of crowdfunding sites have given sites that have been around much longer a new wave of professionalism. It gives small business owners the ability to "step it up" and learn valuable skills to eventually create a larger business.

I agree with that and feel the same way. More and more etsy sellers are emerging now actually.
