I'm an actor director putting together a five-part anthology of short-films exploring love in the works of William Shakespeare. It's a labour of love for me and everyone who has been involved so far, and completed the first episode out of our own pockets with the bare minumum of resources. It can be viewed for free on our website: www.diyshakespeare.com

The first film is from Shakespeare's Richard III and focuses on the seduction of Lady Anne Neville.

We're fundraising to begin production on the next two episodes beginning in May. Each one of these films is a completely different animal, exploring a different play and a different genre. This is our first time using Kickstarter and drawing the right eye-balls to the project is a challenge in itself.

At this stage, we've only got a month to try to raise the budget, but its most important that people interested in Shakespeare are able to watch the film and talk about it in whatever channels they have access to. Any feedback, advice, shares and donations are more than welcome! We want to make sure our first film gets exposed to anyone who might be interested in Shakespeare so they can enjoy it for free.
