Don't really do any PR.

The most I do is promote to previous Backers/Customers and some cross-promotion with relevant projects.

Yeah, in general, project videos are a very minor part of the whole puzzle.

Check out my videos... they're getting progressively shorter and worse... yet each subsequent project is better (on average).

Out of interest...

My first couple of videos I made my own teleprompter (laptop + dark box + bit of glass)... so I just read what I had to say.

I'll probably get professional videos done at some point (when the cost is small relevant to the project size). But, for now, it's such a minor point of leverage.

Late on this... but well done. You got funded. Great pitch (actually, an excellent pitch) you did there... but, more importantly, great concept.

Okay, so I'm in the middle of nowhere right now (satellite internet... I think)

Since it's been a few months since I was last here and I've launched a couple more projects... I'm just trying to think if anything has changed since with my views on this whole crowdfunding thing in that time.

And, well, not really I don't think. Nothing significant.

The location (i.e. country and city) where you launch your Kickstarter project is not near as important as I thought it was.

Video is still fairly unimportant.

High quality photos are still critically important.

Oh, one really important one...

Well, I've said it throughout this thread - but the "pitch" for your project is still massively important.

I've seen so many projects lately that should be really doing well... but are getting nowhere near the funding they should be getting... because the pitch is so bad.

Actually, it's not even that it's bad as such... just that they've not put in the effort they should have. After having a good idea or already having a following/crowd in place (or both of these things)... the pitch is the next most important thing.
