Hello, I want to put a project on Kickstarter, I need advice. The project is
currently proposed in the marketing plan on the site as a paid for service.

I want the project to be free, including a free ebook, this means that I
have nothing to give away to crowdfunders. If the project is free I need
to raise capital for advertising and to pay for my web developers
services in maintaining the site.

I assess that I need to raise 40,000 pounds for a good advertising
splash in national newspapers and magazines, any advice will be

Are there alternative marketing routes you can go rather than big-ticket publications that will cost a lot of money? Social media marketing and content marketing for example?
