Thanks for the feedback!
You are right, we didn't market it much at all before launching. We did pay a PR site who is supposed to launch a media blitz early next week, but it seems like that may be too late?
As far as the photos, yes, we only took them with a poor quality camera. You think if we took much better quality photos it would make a difference?
Yes, the jacket does dry quicker than normal, We tested it by having it dry without the fans on vs with the fans on. Basically, it's like having two hair dryers blowing on your jacket, so it dries about that quickly (2-5 minutes). Even for shorter duration, it does dry a lot faster. Additionally, the jacket itself is already naturally water resistant. We couldn't think of how to show this in the video.
The model we are showing in this campaign is a "proof of concept" Prototype, the SDJ-00, which we used by modifying a pre-existing jacket provided to us by our supplier. We have designs to improve it and create the SDJ-01, with our own, better jacket designs, more colors, etc. but we launched this campaign to see if the interest is there. We plan to update the campaign with actual photos of the SDJ-01 as well as a new video once (if?) we get close to our funding target.
And your suggestion about adding custom logos to the jacket is great!
We do admit, the campaign was a bit rushed as we wanted it to coincide with this November, since it lines up with the "Back To The Future" timeline. We started testing prototypes over the summer and it tooks us several attempts to get an actual working model to function properly.
If you sincerely believe we should shut it down and relaunch with better photos and prior marketing, of course we will follow your advice. You have been in the crowdfunding game for a long time, while we are just a small group of people with ideas and the know-how to bring them to life.
Thank you for your feedback and suggestions so much, we sincerely appreciate your interest in our project. If you truly believe you can help us should we decide to re-launch, it would be welcomed with open arms.
Thanks again!
