My band This Way to the Egress is crowd sourcing our third full length album. As a band trying to break through to the next teir of success, we've decided to bring in a producer, a Roger Greenawalt. Roger has worked with people like Ric Ocasek, Phillip Glass and Iggy Pop, and discovered Ben Kweller. Needless to say, he's an expensive guy to work with, hence we're crowd sourcing.
We set our goal lower than we really needed so we had a better shot at making it all work and avoid a complete bust on the project. We're now at 110% with only TWO days left. We're trying to get the album pressed to viny as a stretch goal. Does anyone have stretch goal strategies? I would think the psychology changes a bit when a possible backer sees that the project is over 100%.
