Aspiring storyteller looking to finish college

    by Shikibara » Sun Jun 10, 2018 5:44 am

    Hey there everyone!

My name is Ian "Shikibara". I am a storyteller, game designer, and college student. I've recently started a kickstarter for a book I'm working on. All earnings from it will go straight to paying for college if my goal is met! The purpose of choosing KickStarter for this project isn't a "I'll only write it if I meet my goal", but rather a means of seeing where to place my priorities. My $1000 goal is about what I would make with a part time job I have right now, so if I make this goal, I will shift my focus to writing my book and finishing it before the end of the year. If not, I will still work on my book, but my focus will remain on my current job, meaning the book will likely be delayed and only worked on in my spare time.

My book is going to be a Young Adult fantasy series with a serious tone to it. Nothing like Twilight or Hunger Games, but more along the lines of Narnia and Lord of The Rings. It's a story I have been wanting to write for many years now, but never had the time to work on. I would love to see this campaign be a success and allow me to focus on my writing without worry for income to pay what's not covered by scholarships .

You can find my KickStarter here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ry ... of-dragons

I hope you will consider investing in this project! With just $10 you can get a copy of the E-book once it's finished!

Thank you again, and I look forward to getting to know you all!

At first glance, the initial image looks good but you're missing the classic:
    - Video intro, images of your product (or even images of people reading your book would be best) and more information on what backers will get (rather than what you need).

A couple of pages in PDF format of your book to download, some reviews from family/friends and perhaps think of how Amazon show off their books and do something similar as you need a better boost right now.
