Hi All,

My name is Monica and I'm an illustrator/writer in Austin. I've run a few Kickstarters before successfully, but primarily succeeded due to niche marketing and having a small but strong following from some of my previous work. I find larger marketing insanely intimidating and about as awkward as brushing my teeth left-handed.

I'm in the last week of my latest project, Adopt a Demon http://kck.st/1p1bui8 and it is kicking my ass -- primarily because its a departure from my previous illustration work of folklore, nature, children and kitties. I'm still hopeful I can dig up enough support to let me stretch my wings and do something stranger/darker. Please do check it out! Maybe you can provide a home for a demon...

Wow that's awesome! Would be willing to share any of your lessons learned from raising money via specific post? Kind of like: successful-kickstarter-how-i-ran-the-campaign-t1843.html

Does Lon Duquette know you're doing this? Oh well, more work for him cleaning up the mess afterwards.

Still, a great project. Did you use the Rose Cross for the blanked-out sigils? If so, that's hilarious! From a safe distance, that is!
