I am only six hours into my first Kickstarter campaign, and have been thrilled by the response! It is a book project for pre-teens called The Melangui about darker emotions (depression, worry, ennui), and things we can do to work with them. The book is comprised of abstract ink drawings that carry through from darker to lighter states of mind. In addition to offering the book in self-published soft and hardback, I've also made prints and original drawings available, and those are getting a great response, moreso than the book alone.
I've gotten a number of emails from companies offering to do publicity, and this forum has been helpful for navigating that thicket.
