Hey all,
I want to tell you about a project that I just launched.
I was thinking about a year ago how many ideas people have that never make it to Kickstarter, and how Kickstarter has changed from its early days (where you just throw up an idea to make, say, a book) to where you need a much more polished presentation. Today, Kickstarter is the last step, not the first (Seth Godin line).
The investment (time, money, energy, etc) of creating a Kickstarter is INTENSE (even more than I anticipated when I was thinking this all up). So I wanted to create a tool that let's people test whether or not there is interest / demand from the market BEFORE launching on Kickstarter. The result of my idea is in this video:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/10 ... hing-on-kiBasically ... conceive the idea > test it on Mount Dream > if its good and people want it, GO FOR IT 100%.
Mount Dream is a little over 10% of the way to our goal ... hoping this can be a useful tool for some of you who can relate to that feeling of just being uncertain of whether or not an idea is worth pursuing.
This whole experience has just been awesome. Met so many cool people. So please let me know about your projects too ... I would be happy to back, share, support, as I know what goes into doing one of these now. A new appreciation
Cheers.
