I have recently re-launched my project.
the first time around it failed. A high target was probably one of the problems. The second time around I made it simpler so I could have a lower target too.
So far so goo: 50% in 10 days. Now need to boost to reach the target.

Good insights. I kicked off my project on Kickstarter on Nov 20, http://kck.st/1xvx4Bh . It passed 25% of the goal at the end the third day. I can see the backing is slowing down a little. Do I need to worry about it?

If I set the goal as the sum of all the resources I put in, it'll be much higher than I put on Kickstarter. I did some prelaunch activities, set up a project on Pitchfuse and Prefundia where I got a total of 12 followers in about 30 days period.

I set 45 days as I think the holiday seasons may delay some people's activities on Kickstarter, most people will spend more time with family and friends. I hope that will work out.

Any feedback on my project is highly appreciated.

Thanks for your sharing. I hope to read more useful post like this. I am wondering about the days I should set up for my project on Kickstarter. My project will be running in few hours and i mean to run it in 6 weeks. As you said in your post, the longer your project run, the lower your ability of success will be.
