My preference is: B) back a project that is close to reaching their goal and needs a push because I understand how much work goes into these projects/campaigns.

Just posted on another thread how I feel most casual kickstarter browsers back projects they think will succeed or that already have succeeded, but personally I back projects that I have personal ties to or resonate with me, regardless of if I think it'll succeed or not, because if it doesnt succeed, my $ never leaves me so who cares!!
