When i was young , i used to buy a comic every week on a saturday i remember. These included spiderman, Richie rich the poor little rich kid, Beano, Dandy. Then i grew out of them. 25 years later, and since i started creating games, I've started finding comics interesting again. I guess it could be the nostalgic childhood thing, that you want to get into the story again. H

This is why now have been backing only games so far it think. H

I have backed products that make my life more convenient. One of my favourites was the nGroove snap, a magnet based phone mount.

Interesting! I'd like to back a board game that works well for 1-12 players. It's impossible to get a game good no matter how many people you play with.

I like the idea of something done by a small group of people, not a large company with lots of marketing and funding (ironic that a lot of fully-funded companies still turn to kickstarter just for promotion). Small businesses that can produce high quality products always put a smile on my face. Also creative ideas that I've never seen before, not just mash-ups of two previously existing ideas.

Cheeky low-budget videos actually spur me to donate more than professional high-resolution ones. For example:

I backed Termitats campaign and so excited it is getting to the end and I should soon have my unit. Termitat makes a beautiful display of Termites of all things. You wouldn't think this is all impressive until You see it and hear the story that is 25 years in the making. They make amazing displays or real live termites that even includes a usb microscope to some backers willing to pay a little extra, Really a must see. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/81 ... ur-desktop

I backed two campaigns so far. The 1st was RHINOSHIELD Crash Guard which was successfully funded and I'm waiting for the reward.

The second one has just launched, it's world's first voice and gesture controlled presentation tool called Voiceboard. The campaign is more than 50% funded during the first day and I feel great to be among the backers. Here is the project's link: http://kck.st/1uiLrnX

I would back a project which is very personal.. which gives me the feeling that I can make a change!

I would back projects that are focused around a cause or charity. Like this one: www.kickstarter.com/projects/aliveagain ... r-survivor

Or similar things. I also like backing projects that help children, or create a useful day to day tool.

When backing a project, I look at the person's idea and motivation for creating the project. If it's something they're genuinely committed themselves to and the only thing stopping them is finances, I'm more than happy to help contribute to their goal.
