I've backed 60 so far, and happily so.

With my focus on charities and non-profits of late, those usually catch my attention first, followed by nifty ideas related to science, tech, education, games, art...journalism...ok, to be fair, I appreciate any heartfelt effort where someone is putting themselves out there, whether they're spreading their artistic wings, breaking new technological ground, trying to make people laugh, and so on.

I appreciate genuine people trying to do good things, and do my best to offer support, however modest. To that end, I've backed several projects with for no reward in doing so, just because I like what they're doing and hope to see them succeed. In some cases if the reward is digital, I'll happily accept it, but when there are material items involved I have to really want "Thing X" before I'll pay for the shipping involved, and find a place for it in my home. (It would be far too easy to accumulate a mass of "Things" over the years, and you could find me peeking out from behind stacks of game boxes and so on.)

Hi all,

I've backed around a dozen campaigns. About half to get the products, and the other half was a 1$ perk, just to be able to comment and follow the campaign.

I am on my second project. I'm actually working on gettting my PMP (Project Management certificate).

I"m still learning how to crowdfund, especially for gofundmes.

1. I have backed 82 projects.

2. Usually, because I like the creator or their creation and want to be able to say I was a part of this cool new ____.

Thats a lot of projects. I have read a lot of great content in the form and thank everyone for contributing. I hope to have a very successful kickstarter based on the knowledge I have been able to gain from here.

I've backed 3.....on one of them, the creator completely dropped off the face of the earth and nobody has heard from him. He fulfilled some orders, but disappeared. I only lost $20....its a risk....

Technically you can sue......
