I have backed 2. One was a comic graphic novel type thing by Kyle Starks called SexCastle. Very good tongue in cheek action of the 80's-90's fight movies (Roadhouse, etc). I've also just back PBL Robots, a robot type fighting game. Haven't received it yet, but looking forward to it.

I backed the PC game Warlocks. The lead programmer has no arms and writes code with his feet.

Insanely inspiring. I couldn't live with myself if I didn't back Warlocks. We can all learn from that type of courage.

I've backed 261 projects to date, I love supporting small projects, artists and small businesses. They always have something unique that we dont see every day and often they are fun. I get to look forward to something in the mail too a couple of the first I backed were an indie game (Space quest remake) and Projecto, and wrylen robots mini zine manuals.

I have backed 7 projects. The reason for my backings were creations I liked and wanted, and creators with a clear vision and good presentation.

Hello all, I have backed about 10 or so projects thus far.

Since I have to have 3 comments before I can post a topic, I decided to make this 2 comments instead of one. I back projects depending if they can benefit me in some manner. I forever immortalized my families name in +pool. I have a tool that can help me open up plastic wrapping at work. several video games to play. A bowl to wash my vegies in that is easy to drain. A mold that lets me create a mug out of ICE. plenty of things that I can use to my personal benefit. It lets me be a hipster for some really cool stuff. That's why I jump all over people I believe may be scamming the site and why I will be an avid member of that part of the forums.

That one pretty much speaks for itself. I love that project, and since they've reached 6.3 million and still have 3 days to go, I'm guessing I'm not the only one...

A sleep tracker and alarm clock to help improve your sleeping pattern. I love the concept, although I'm still skeptical until I actually have the product in my hands. I've been waiting a while to get it, but it should be coming soon.

That one is mostly because I'm a tech geek and love to play around with stuff like this.

I'm up to 148 backed projects so far. But that number should be qualified in that some don't get funded thus my credit card is not debited. Second, often I like projects or find them interesting but the actual product is not something I need in which case I pledge a thank you level reward ($5-$10). Other projects I back more or buy stuff.

As for why...2 reasons...(1) interest: some stuff you just like, and (2) one day I'll likely do a project of my own, so maybe there's some karma police out there

I've backed 30 projects so far of all different types.

I usually back projects that I'd like to use myself but I find that giving rewards as gifts is fun. Most people haven't seen or heard of the items and they are usually unique.

I don't always back for rewards though, sometimes I just like participating in the community and want to see progress of updates and if I want to comment.
