Dang that is pretty nice. My first Kickstarter(tinyurl.com/woodenw) lasted 24 days, got 35 backers, 211% funded at $1695, with 554 video plays, 44.22% of plays completed, the first video I had was 1 minute and 33 seconds long, while the second video was 6 minutes and 51 seconds long. As for rewards, my most popular was the $30 reward followed by the $45. My most profitable reward was the $45 reward which made 20% of the money raised. Most of my backers came from external sources at 60% of total backers.
My current kickstarter(tinyurl.com/Justisbulpens) is 10 days in, 10 backers, 24% funded at $395, with 102 video plays, 11.76% of plays completed, and the video is 5 minutes and 27 seconds long. As for rewards, my most popular and profitable reward is my $35 reward with 53% of the money raised. Most of my backers come via kickstarter, at 70% of total backers.
So far I have learned that even though my video completion rate has dropped dramatically, my backer to views rate has increased from 6.32% to 9.8%. So my project seems to be doing better content wise, but the promotion is going much slower than I would like. I would attribute that to the fact that I had a major cross-promotion for my first kickstarter, but I have had no such luck for my second one.
