[BrokenThings]

Melodic indie/punk band Broken Things (from St. Petersburg, FL) is working with Kickstarter to raise money to master and release our forthcoming LP. We have 29 days left to raise the remaining balance of $2,500 — we now are $2,187 away from our goal. I'm learning in real time how difficult it is to reach people when your sphere of influence is small. Suffice it to say it's daunting.

Also, without the support of a label, paired with the inability to tour full-time — as well as the additional exorbitant costs associated with the mastering and pressing of an LP — we are short the funds needed to see the totality of our vision come to fruition. Knowing what we want, yet with no clear path toward getting it — aside from crowdfunding — also is rather daunting.
