    An Interesting Proposition

    by inflexionUSA » Fri Jul 26, 2013 9:51 pm

    Hi everyone,

My name is James Wissel and I recently launched a Kickstarter project for a minimal wallet that FLIPs. It is a reversible wallet with a bird's-eye view. Here's the link:

    http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inf ... -two-looks

    my website http://inflexionusa.com/

    Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Inflexionusa

This is my first project and I'm determined to make it succeed. Many smart people have studied and written about how to run a successful crowd funding campaign. I tend to believe those who say successful crowd funding is more science than art.

I need backers to get the ball rolling, so here's my offer: I will back make a $1 pledge to anyone's project if they agree to make a $1 pledge to my project. I will share, tweet, like and comment on your project, website, Facebook, Twitter ... If you will do likewise. My only stipulation is that I will not back any project that offends me or that I don't agree with, so contact me first before pledging with me.

I think this can be an effective way to gain backers and pole position. It's Quid pro Quo by design, because I think that will be the most effective way to accomplish my goal.

Good or bad, let me know what you think.

    James

BTW - Sal you are doing a great job with this site!

    Hi James

I am more than happy to back and share/promote your project quid pro quo. I am a great believer in cross promotion in order to get more exposure for all but unfortunately there are many that are not - cannot understand it personally, but there you go! I have been in business too long to worry about it or be surprised, and I will continue with my belief of helping others and hoping to be treated as I treat them :)

Please take a look at my project

See what you think and let me know.

Good luck with yours - looks like a great start!

    Best wishes
    Sarah

Hey cool project. I will for sure give you a shout out on Twitter. If budget permits I'll support you. I'd like to support as many projects as possible even though I myself am pretty broke and doing my own KickStarter project lol.

    Hey Sarah and Louis,

I love both of your projects and absolutely want to cross promote with you. Sarah, I hear you. It time to take action. Sending a buck both of your ways now. I will comment, share on my Facebook page, tweet and let others know. I'm even having my dog doing a bark out to her friends. Good luck to both of you and let's keep the dialog going!

This is a good thing right here. I think if we can all help each other out with exposure it can only lead to better things. The more fellow project creators we get onboard the better we all will be.

    Hi James & Louis

Thanks for the pledges and the sharing! I have pledged both of you back and have shared where I can!

Sal, see, it does work!! and you masterminded it :)

@LouisV - your project is wonderful - you know that, so get down about how this campaign is going. Do you know any high end realtors? Go and see some and suggest that they use some of your pieces as sales aids (house warming gifts). When they earn 6% commission, if they sell a $1m house, they can afford to spend $1000 as a thank you/ house warming gift. It is what I used to do when I was a realtor out there. Some of the big golfing developments would be good too - Reunion etc. Send me a message and I can give you a couple of contacts (if they are still in the business)

Good luck guys - lets keep this rolling :D

Sal, thank you for tweeting and commenting.

I've just got started with Sarah and Louis, both of whom have awesome projects and I am really glad I am involved with them. Whatever we accomplish together, this is just the beginning.

Back to you Sal, I think what you are doing here is amazing and it's just the start. I have been in business for many years and crowd funding is without question, the most innovative and best idea that I have ever seen. You are a smart man to get so strongly behind this with your site.

What I like about you, is your posts, information and thoughts are smart, honest and focused, which are rare commodities these days. After reading a sampling of your writings, I have already been able to significantly impact my Kickstarter campaign. What's great is there is so much more to learn from you.

    Anyway ... Thanks Sal,

    James
